Ravinder Singh (born 4 February 1982) is an Indian author,software engineer. Ravinder Singh is the best selling romance writer tells Odisha sun times,a newspaper in Odisha. He was born in Burla in the state of Odisha .He started his career as an IT professional in Infosys.[3] He has written eight novels entitled I Too Had a Love Story,[4][5][6][7][8]Can Love Happen Twice?,[9][10]Like it happened Yesterday, Love Stories That Touched My Heart, Tell Me A Story, Your Dreams are Mine Now , This Love That Feels Right, Will You Still Love Me.

Early life[edit]
Singh was born in a Sikh family in Burla, Sambalpur. He spent his childhood days in Burla Sambalpur City.[11] He completed his schooling at Guru Nanak Public School, Sambalpur, Odisha. He received a Bachelor of Engineering in computer science engineering from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College in Karnataka.[5] Then he moved to Bhubaneshwar to work at Infosys Technologies for five years. He did his MBA at Indian School of Business in Hyderabad. He was working as a Sr. Program Manager at Microsoft when he decided to become a full-time author.[12]
His girlfriend died in 2007 before they got formally engaged.[2][6] He adapted his own story into a novel.[4][5] The book I Too Had a Love Story was reviewed by N. R. Narayana Murthy, Chairman Emeritus of Infosys Technologies, who called it 'Simple, honest and touching'.Earlier he was married to Khusboo Chauhan[13] who was one of the readers of his first novel and was so deeply moved that she went to a Gurudwara to pray for him, without imagining that one day she would get married to him. However, they have separated now and Ravinder is now single. [14][15]

Singh's first book is based on a real-life incident of his meeting a girl and his love life.[2][6] After a six-month search, an editing team sent the manuscript to the publisher Shristi, who published the book.[2] The book was unveiled at a press conference in Chandigarh by Anupam Mittal.[2][4] He also launched the audio version of I Too Had a Love Story in mid-2011.[2][7]I Too Had a Love Story is also published in Kannada language, entitled Nannadu Ondu prema kathe.[2][8]
